Kathy (Carrow) Ingram
Kathy completed her post-graduate work at Rutgers University and acquired some doctoral credits in anthropology in 1985. She met and married Jim Ingram, a construction engineer from New Jersey who has his fingerprints on the construction of Toy-R-Us, Best Stores, land fills and water towers throughout NJ and PA. Kathy completed her career as a social worker for the state of Jersey in 2002 and she and Jim retired to North Carolina where they raise and show horses and ponies. They boast of 4 children and 6 grandchildren.

Jim's family history has been relatively easy to follow. His parents came as adults from Scotland. His Ingram line comes from Aberdeen, Scotland; his Gunn line is from Glasgow, Scotland and Belfast, Ireland.

Kathy's Carrow ancestor arrived in Delaware in the early 1700s. Her Faunt and Swanson lineages begin in County Limerick, Ireland and arrived in New Jersey circa 1860.
Today Kathy is working diligently on the early records of York County, Virginia - currently beginning work on her third volume ofWills, Deeds and Inventories. Her other genealogical interests lie in a collaborative project with her cousin Francis Faunt in which they are tracing their DNA. His Y-DNA matches a Fant who descends from the same Norman/Irish family which includes Sir Walter Faunt (L'Enfant), Irish knight in Edward the first's household, justiciar & "fidelis of Ireland."
